Technology is already sweeping through classrooms as educators and developers create more and more software, and solutions designed to change the face of schools. From School management through ERP software to digital classrooms. New technologies like AI, machine learning, and educational software aren't just changing the field for students, they're shaking up the role of educators, creating philosophical shifts in approaches to teaching and learning.

We may see robots assisting the teachers to teach the students in the classroom. We are already seeing our age-old blackboards and chalks being replaced by digital screens. Instead of backpacks sagging with the load of heavy books, students of the future will probably carry a single digital device or tablets which through cloud computing and networks, will be used to take notes, download lesson plans and share homework with the teachers. There will be a greater importance given to greener practices for a sustainable environment and we will see the classrooms going paperless. No more printing of homework or putting covers on the notebooks, all school work will now be done and shared digitally. All of this coordinated harmoniously through cloud-based school management software and ERP solutions. Physically attending schools might even become optional with some of the students opting to view the live video streaming of the classes online. Virtual reality will be used as a major tool in learning about historical events, geography, biology, astronomy, physics and many other subjects; wherein the student will be transported in a 3D environment and will be allowed to walkthrough the subject matter for a better retention of the knowledge.

In India, it is a time of great change and a digital revolution is underway under the banner of Digital India and Delhi, being the capital of this nation must be the torchbearer in this digital revolution. It is imperative that we keep in mind that educational technology should be used as a tool to serve the needs of #teachers and #educators; rather than as a substitute to overpower them. UnityERP, a Cloud based School management ERP software solution plays the role of a supplement designed to create an empowering environment for educators, that will enable them to embrace the future in using technology to revolutionise education, to keep up with the changing wheels of time.
